College Football Game of the Year - Georgia vs Florida

college football game

As we write today, we attend a college football game of the year. Tomorrow, in Jacksonville, Florida, the Georgia Bulldogs will face the fearsome Florida Gators of Gainesville, Florida. Even if you live on another planet or hate college football to the fullest, you may have heard or interacted with some aspects of the game: it's the game of the year, maybe even the decade without a doubt. I'm a Georgia fan, but I'll try to explain why this game is so special.

The game is played in Jacksonville, Florida, on the "neutral" side. Jacksonville seems to be a perfect dividing line between the two states. Fans start early in the week to attend all activities in and around Jacksonville. They come in virtual reality. They enter the cars with divided family loyalty. They are dressed in red and black, blue and white. All these fans are mixing, celebrating and talking to each other. It lasts all week and is Saturday at 15:30. Where else in the United States can it happen without violence and bloodshed?

Also this year we have an overview of two NFL QB draft picks in the future. Matt Stafford, based in Georgia, Georgia, and Tim Tebow, of Florida, are undoubtedly two of the best quarterbacks in college football today. Georgia Stafford is a quarterback who can track passes on the field. The leadership and pleasing behavior of his team made the NFL scouts run out of breath. Tim Tebow of Florida is a bloody contender who can beat him with his passport and career. Tebow has the Heisman, but he and Stafford are looking for the national championships they have lost in their college careers.

Of course, this game will have national and conference impact. Georgia is sixth in the BCS and has the opportunity to play in the Miami championship. Florida is in eighth place and is in regular polls. Each year, these two teams compete for the SEC East title to play the championship game in Atlanta. Everyone who wins this game will receive many seasonal rewards. These circumstances always seem to give emotions to an already passionate rivalry. Year after year, tough competition in a major league has established the essence of both programs. Each year, in terms of something, this game stands out from an asymmetric USC or a boring game from the state of Ohio. Great games are the norm in the SEC.

This game contains two innovative and respected trainers. Mark Richt of Georgia and Urban Meyer of Florida are two coaches who seem to have fun every year. They say they are friendly, but both are very competitive and really want to beat the other. Meyer, of Florida, already won a national championship that escaped from coach Richt. Everyone is a motivating teacher who always has one or two special moves for this game. Wow, it's really exciting to see fans, coaches and players compete in a rivalry that has taken more than 70 years. When I grew up in Chicago, I naively thought we could play soccer and be football fans. After moving to Atlanta in early 1991, I found a football atmosphere that went beyond anything I could imagine. This game of rivalry is about college football. GO DOGS! Remember, if you are in Jacksonville at the end of October, get a ticket to the game and find out for yourself.
